g. DESCRIPTION: Per reporting party, a sheen approximately 30 ft x 30 ft was reported by a ship. It appears to have originated from two aerosol cans, although this remains unconfirmed. Despite an investigation, the oil was deemed unrecoverable.

Per NRC report, "The caller stated that a ship reported to them that they had found two cans in their boom. The cans were suspected to contain either fuel or oil. The cans were leaking into the San Diego Bay and created a 30 foot by 30 foot sheen on the water. The caller reported that they attempted to recover the material but were unsuccessful."
