g. DESCRIPTION: Per the reporting party: Caller noticed tar balls on the sand at Sunset Beach but did not notice any sheen on the water. Caller reported that she could not calculate the number or amount of tar balls, however she believes it to cover more surface area than half a mile. Caller reported that there are deceased seagull's located in the same vicinity where the tar balls are located. There was no vessel noticed in the water and no indication of what caused a release. Caller has no recollection of any odor that was emanating from the area. Caller also reported that they do have platforms and a naval installation in the area, but is unsure if they are responsible.
