DESCRIPTION: Per the reporting party, on 10/28/2024 at 1145 this morning, a one inch polyethylene (PE) service line was damaged by a mini excavator causing the release of natural gas into the atmosphere. The release was stopped at 1223 this afternoon. Southwest Gas personnel are repairing the line, and the Victor Valley Fire Department was on scene. There was no vapor visible. There was no fire or explosion, and the area is safe and secure. There were no road closures. There were no injuries, fatalities or evacuations.
