g. DESCRIPTION: Per the reporting party: A white liquid that was contained in a 5 gallon bucket was released due to part of the container melting from a fire. This material mixed with the rest of the fire run-off (water and fire debris) which then entered a nearby storm drain that potentially leads to the Newport Bay. On scene personnel are conducting tests to determine what the material is. Caller reports that it has a neutral pH and is still undetermined. Clean up is being conducted by Newport Beach Public Works. It is unknown if the run-off that entered the storm drain is recoverable.
