DESCRIPTION: Per the reporting party, an 8-inch PVC pipe ruptured for reasons currently unknown, resulting in the release of approximately 1.3 million gallons of recycled water onto the golf course soil. This release did not impact any waterways, and all affected areas are confined to the golf course. The release has been contained and stopped. The responsible party, the City of Los Angeles Power and Water, will manage the cleanup efforts. Additionally, the release has caused the formation of a sinkhole, the size of which is currently unknown.
