| g. DESCRIPTION: | Per the reporting party, on 11/25/2024 at approximately 0714 in the morning, a freight train struck a pedestrian who was on the railroad tracks resulting in a fatality. The train number is LOW20 of the 25, and the locomotive number is UP 1469. The train was traveling south. The incident occurred on a main line track. It occurred at a DOT crossing, and the crossing number is 747851M. The track is closed, and it is unknown when the track will open again. The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department is on scene. An unidentified EMS service is on scene. UPRR and the Sheriff's Department are conducting an investigation. Per the NRC Report, the caller is reporting that a freight train struck a trespasser that was standing on the tracks at a crossing. This resulted in one fatality.
