g. DESCRIPTION: Due to human error, a pickup truck veered off the road at or near the listed location and ended up in a concrete drainage channel adjacent to the roadway. The Ventura County Fire Department, Oxnard Fire Department, and Port Hueneme Police Department are on the scene. Upon arrival, they found the truck in the waterway with water reaching the top of the door panels. The driver was extricated from the vehicle and transported to a medical facility for further care. First responders noticed a light sheen on the surface of the static waterway, and booms are being deployed around it. A contractor has been contacted and will assist with the vehicle recovery.
