g. DESCRIPTION: Per the reporting party: A sheen of jet fuel was discovered on the tarmac at Beale AFB at the location where a project is underway to replace underground fuel piping. Size dimensions of the pipe are unknown. The release of fuel has reached low points surrounding the tarmac which consists of grass. Additionally, the fuel has entered surrounding storm drains which lead to various creeks and streams that run through the installation. Sampling and testing will be conducted on the creek and stream water to determine if any jet fuel has made it to these waterways. BOOMS have been applied to absorb the material. The reporting party stated that updates will be provided as they gather more information.
