g. DESCRIPTION: Per the Reporting Party : A mechanical failure occurred on the fuel tank of a locomotive causing the release of material. The release occurred while the locomotive was in motion and sprayed along about 600-700 linear feet before the release was noticed; the locomotive was stopped and crews on site secured the release. The diesel fuel impacted the ballast and rail ties. No waterways were affected. A contractor will be handling clean up. Freight train ID # INPOA of the 25th. Locomotive # UP7321. This occurred on a main rail line.
