DESCRIPTION: | Per the Reporting Party: At an asphalt plant a broken 3 inch above ground pipe that circulates heating oil through heating coils to keep tanks containing asphalt warm was discovered broken this morning after an alarm sensor activation. It is unknown what caused the break, but appeared suspicious in nature. The release has been stopped. The released heating oil impacted surrounding concrete and some soil. Employees on site have the material isolated to the concrete area, the affected soil has been removed and a contractor is in route to complete clean up. | ||
