Orignal Description:Per the reporting party, an automobile collided with Southern California Edison's pad mounted transformer within a Water District Pump Station causing the release of the listed material. The spill impacted soil, and no waterways were affected. At the time of the report, the reporting party did not know the name of the water pump station. There was a fire as a result of this incident. Riverside County Fire Department was on scene, and they successfully extinguished the fire. Patriot Environmental is en route to clean-up the spill. Southern California Edison personnel will be repairing the damaged transformer. The fire department built a berm in the soil to contain the spill.

Collision
SITUATION UPDATE:
Per the reporting party, the location of the incident is at 25307 Fairview Avenue, Hemet, CA. The name of the Water Company is Lake Hemet Municipal Water District. The incident occurred at Well Number 16. The new amount of Non-PCB mineral oil that was spilled is 265 gallons. The incident caused a fire which burned an undetermined amount of the listed oil. Southern California Edison personnel had to de-energize the transformer in order for the fire fighting effort to begin safely. The fire fighting agency that responded to the fire was Cal Fire. The fire has been extinguished.
