g. DESCRIPTION: Arson caused a semi-truck's tractor to become engulfed in flames, prompting a response from the Soledad Fire Department, which isolated the area. The incident led to the release of an unknown amount of vehicle fluids and firefighting water onto the ground and into a storm drain, which flows into the Salinas River. Firefighters extinguished the fire without further complications. The Monterey County Environmental Health Department and the Salinas Public Works Department are at the scene, evaluating the environmental impacts. Cleanup and vehicle recovery efforts are pending, while an investigation into the incident remains ongoing.
