g. DESCRIPTION: During an excavation, a private citizen accidentally struck and damaged a 1/2-inch natural gas service line, causing a release of gas into the atmosphere. Gas technicians arrived at the scene and stopped the leak. There were no fires or injuries. Permanent repairs were made, and service was fully restored.
