g. DESCRIPTION: | Per the reporting party, due to a human error resulted in a valve being inadvertently left open, leading to the release of approximately 2,000 gallons of wine waste onto the asphalt. Most of the released material entered a nearby storm drain, which connects to the Oat Hill Mine Ditch and ultimately flows into the Napa River. The caller reported that a makeshift dike was constructed, and absorbent boom was deployed in a dry area to prevent forward movement of the waste. The release has been stopped and contained. As of this report, it is unclear who will be responsible for the cleanup efforts. | ||
