g. DESCRIPTION: | A jeweler accidentally dropped a 1-gallon container of nitric acid, spilling about half a gallon onto the floor and splashing onto themselves. The San Diego Fire-Rescue Department’s Hazardous Materials Incident Response Team (HIRT) and the San Diego County Department of Environmental Health and Quality (DEHQ) were called to the scene. Upon arrival, they secured the area, and the jeweler was taken to a medical facility for treatment. Cleanup was carried out without further incident, and the store closed to the public until further notice. | ||
