g. DESCRIPTION: Per Reporting Party: Due to unknown reasons approximately twenty-four (24) liters of liquid nitrogen was released from a metal tank only into the atmosphere. The time of the release was at approximately 2300 hours on 04/09/24 and the release is currently ongoing. The estimated flow rate is currently unknown, two tanks are connected to this release, and the maximum capacity of a tank is forty-seven (47) liters. Personnel from the City of San Francisco Fire Department are currently onsite and the City of San Francisco Fire Department Hazardous Materials Unit is currently enroute. Fifteen people have been evacuated for precautionary measures. The NRC will not be contacted and OES may be contacted in regards to updates to this release.
