Orignal Description:Per the reporting party: While conducting off-loading procedures from a truck to a tank, the operator stepped away from the vehicle and upon returning saw that the material was spilling out onto the ground. Flow was stopped and the material entered the facilities containment area.

SITUATION UPDATE:
Per the NRC report: "The caller reported that while a truck was filling a holding tank at a tank farm, the tank overflowed, causing a release of (2200) gallons of sodium busulfite into a containment area. No waterways were affected. The cause of the overflow is unknown at this time." Remedial Actions: "The caller reported that the containment area feeds into a dosing point which is then sent to processing."
