g. DESCRIPTION: Per the NRC report: The caller stated that palm oil released from a refining vessel within a refinery. The cause of the release is being attributed to operator error, after a valve was not properly closed. Because of this incident an unknown amount of material released, however the caller suspects upwards of(100) gallons of material may have released. The material released onto dirt and rocks at the location. Remedial Actions: The caller stated that they placed oil dry to address the release. The affected area was excavated during the cleanup process.
