| Orignal Description:Per the reporting party: At 0935, Glendale Public Works personnel received a call from the Glendale Police Department informing them of a sanitary sewage overflow from a manhole cover at the incident location. At 1026 hours, Glendale Public Works personnel arrived on-scene and began diverting the overflow into a downstream manhole by 1030 hours. The blockage was caused by roots and was broken up at 1103 which stopped the release. The sewer pipe has a dimension of 8 inches and it is unknown if there is any damage to the pipe itself and will be investigated. The catch basin that the sewage entered leads to the LA River, however it is unknown if any sewage entered the river itself. | | | ||||

| Per the reporting party: The total updated amount of sanitary sewage released is 3,920 gallons. 1,320 gallons of the sewage was diverted and returned to the system. The remaining 2,600 gallons was deemed unrecoverable. | |
