DESCRIPTION: Per reporting party, a third-party contractor damaged a 3/4 inch gas riser with a fork-lift, resulting in the release of an unknown amount of Natural Gas which lead to the evacuation of 40 people. The release was controlled at 1325 hours, and the evacuations were lifted at 1342 hours. The Fire Department responded to the incident but has since departed. Gas personnel are currently working on making permanent repairs.
