DESCRIPTION: Per the Reporting Party: A semi truck was involved in a solo vehicle traffic accident causing one of it's side saddle fuel tanks to rupture and release approx 40 gallons of fuel onto the roadway and shoulder of the roadway. No waterways were affected. The release is stopped. The driver of the truck was injured; it is unknown if they were transported to the hospital. Cal Trans is on scene to handle clean up. SR 178 is closed in both directions near mile marker 22. A tow is being arranged for the semi truck. The Fire Department also responded to the scene.
