DESCRIPTION: A follow-up inspection of the Hood-Bloemer Oil Lease was conducted earlier this morning by the California Air Resources Board (CARB) and the California Geologic Energy Management Division (CalGEM). The purpose of the inspection was to oversee the corrective action taken on two previously reported defective wells. After the inspection, additional wells were surveyed. Four wells failed the survey (see below). The current course of action will be to submit the appropriate forms to the owner/operator for immediate repair. The leaks are categorized as small. No public notifications were necessary. The local fire department was briefed.
