g. DESCRIPTION: | Per Reporting Party: It is believed that an estimated 400 gallons of oil was illegally dumped out of a storage tank and into a nearby levee. The levee is said to lead to Smith Canal which connects to the San Juaquin River. The storage tank that contained the oil is empty and a majority of the oil has made its way into the canal. The oil is not stopped or contained, no clean up has been conducted. Shimizu Drive at Buena Vista Ave is closed due to the incident. A boat is enroute to place booms to prevent oil entry into the San Juaquin River. | ||
