Orignal Description:Per reporting party: A semi sliding off the road to the shoulder, colliding with a tree, rupturing the saddle tank causing diesel to release out to the shoulder. The exact amount released is unknown but it is still leaking and going underneath the semi. No waterways have been impacted.
Update(s): 11/18/2024 12:39:42 PM - PER NRC report: Caller reported a discharge of an unknown amount of diesel fuel due To a tractor trailer sliding off a road in icy conditions. Caller Stated the truck hit a tree, and a saddle tank was ruptured Resulting in the discharge. Exact amount discharged is unknown,
Spill is inaccessible at this time. Caller reported no injuries or Fatalities. Vehicle Type: TRACTOR TRAILER
RemedialAction: Truck is being recovered by towing company, commercial hazmat unit is working to access discharged diesel
