g. DESCRIPTION: Per the reporting party, a third party contractor damaged a 1/2 inch service line causing a natural gas release. The Tulare Fire Department evacuated 1 individual. The gas release began at 1412 in the afternoon. The area was cordoned off with a road closure at East Cross Avenue between North Jefferson Street and Brentwood Street. The gas release was controlled at 1725, and the road closure and evacuation ended at 1735. There was no visible vapor, and there was no fire or explosion. SoCalGas personnel are repairing the service line. There is no clean-up as the gas is unrecoverable.
