g. DESCRIPTION: Per the Reporting Party : A vehicle (unknown type) crashed into a pad mounted transformer causing the release of material. The material impacted soil around the pad as well as the gutter of the street. San Diego Gas and Electric Hazmat crew responded to the scene and were able to apply absorbents to prevent the material from reaching any storm drains. The material will be recovered and disposed of by San Diego Gas and Electric with possible contractor assistance. There were no roadway closures. It is unknown if there were any injuries or how many occupants were in the vehicle. It is believed the police and fire department also responded to the scene. Reporting Party company will conduct testing on the released material to determine any PCB content and update with findings.
