Orignal Description:RP states he received a report of a home owner who was digging with a shovel and hit a 1/2 inch plastic service line causing the release of natural gas. Leak has not yet been stopped, unknown quantity of natural gas has escaped into the atmosphere. RP has a crew in route to the location to secure and mitigate. The fire department responded and has left the scene after having residence at the house evacuate.

SITUATION UPDATE:
RP Mike Johnson from So Cal Gas called back to update that the natural gas release was controled at 22:00 hours and evacuations lifted at 23:40 hours. The amount of release into the atmosphere is still unknown and is unrecoverable.
