g. DESCRIPTION: On July 11, 2024, a pipeline owned by the reporting party began leaking. The leak contained groundwater mixed with trace amounts of N-Nitrosodimethylamine (359 nanograms per liter). Over the past few days, this substance has entered Alder Creek, which flows into the American River. Technicians inspected the pipeline and closed an isolation valve, halting further release. Permanent repairs to the pipeline are pending. The release into the creek and river cannot be recovered. Notifications to local and state agencies are currently underway.
