DESCRIPTION: | Per reporting party, a commercial truck accident, which involved striking a telephone pole, resulted in a release of 10 gallons of battery acid from a large battery in the truck's cargo. The acid impacted the asphalt and a small portion spilled onto the dirt shoulder. The Hazmat team has responded to neutralize the spill, and a contractor is handling the cleanup.
