g. DESCRIPTION: Release Due to a Storm Surge. Per the reporting party, on 11/23/2024 at approximately 1120 this morning, a 6 inch asbestos cement main line experienced a blockage caused by a piece of paper. At 1227 this afternoon, Santa Rosa Water personnel cleared the blockage, and the line was restored to normal operation. This stopped the release. The spill impacted the street, gutter and a storm drain which flows to Santa Rosa Creek. Due to the rain fall, they were unable to recover any of the sewage. The City of Santa Rosa is classifying this a Category 1 sewage spill.
