g. DESCRIPTION: Per reporting party: An oil release occurred at the North Midway Sunset Oil Field and is currently under investigation. The cause of the release is unknown at this time. The spill has affected Moscal Road, but there is no reported impact to nearby waterways. The release originated from a group line, and its source is still unidentified. The incident was first reported by a contractor at around 1:00 PM, prompting an immediate response to investigate further. The California Resources Corporation (CRC), which owns the oil field, is handling the situation. The release has crossed a two-way section of the road, and cleanup efforts are ongoing. A a supervisor from California Resources is on scene.
