Orignal Description:Per the reporting party: While attempting to launch his boat, the responsible party forgot to replace the plug on the boat and proceeded to place the boat in the water. The engine began to fill with water and the boat was immediately removed. A small amount of fuel was able to escape and created a small sheen on the water. No immediate actions were taken to collect the material. The responsible party will be conducting cleanup.

SITUATION UPDATE:
Per the NRC report: "The caller reported a discharge of less than 1 cup of gasoline from a 20 ft power boat onto a boat ramp and onto the Santa Barbara Harbor at the incident location. The cause of the discharge is due to the owner accidentally pumping gasoline from the vessel's bilge onto the waterway." Remedial Actions: "The owner of the vessel was issued a warning." Sheen Size Length: 6 ft Sheen Size Width: 6 feet. Vessel Number: CF7677GX.
