Orignal Description:Amtrak train #AMT14 of the 3rd struck an adult trespasser at or near the listed location. The San Jose Police Department and the Santa Clara County Sheriff's Office have responded to the scene. The train is currently stationary, and the passengers will remain onboard. The trespasser sustained life-threatening injuries and has been transported to a medical facility for urgent care. Following the investigation, the train will continue along its designated route.

Per NRC #1395550, "Caller stated a northbound Amtrak passenger train struck an injured a trespasser on the main line. Caller stated this incident was not at a grade crossing. The is a delay and the passengers will remain onboard the train. The injured trespasser was transported to the hospital." REMEDIAL ACTIONS: Investigation underway
