g. DESCRIPTION: Per the Reporting Party : A third party contractor using hand tools damaged a 1/2 inch plastic service line causing the release of natural gas. The material released into the atmosphere and is unrecoverable. The release started at 0745. Southern California Gas crews responded to the scene and had release stopped at 0910. Los Angeles County Fire Department also responded. 5 people were evacuated from 1 commercial building; due to the release now being stopped reporting party expects evacuations to soon be lifted. There was also a road closure in front of the affected address of 10979 Penrose Street.
