g. DESCRIPTION: Per Reporting Party: A tank overflowed on a vessel that went into containment which overflowed. Some of the fuel went in to the San Diego Bay. Sheen 10 ft x 80 ft was noticed on the waterway. Source is secured and ship has been cleaned. Clean up has been conducted by reporting party with sheen being unrecoverable.

Per NRC: The caller reported a discharge of an unknown amount of JP-5 jet fuel from a vessel that went onto San Diego Bay at the incident location. The incident occurred during an internal tank to tank transfer. The cause of the discharge unknown, but was due to a tank being overfilled. The caller stated the tank overfilled, went through a vent, into containment which overfilled, and went into a deck drain that flowed onto San Diego Bay.
