g. DESCRIPTION: A contractor accidentally dropped a piece of equipment onto a pipe belonging to a groundwater extraction system, causing an estimated 2,000 gallons of groundwater and carbon particles to spill into the facility's designated containment area. The containment area's capacity was exceeded, leading the material to flow into the Eaton Wash (dry). On-site personnel responded by shutting off the system's control valve, stopping the flow. Cleanup efforts, aided by a vacuum truck, addressed all affected areas. No personnel evacuations were required, and the facility continued operations throughout the incident.
