g. DESCRIPTION: RP States, Due to a mechanical function at the refinery, causes a flaring event to occur, which resulted in the release of approx. 9,000 cubic feet of SO2. The flaring event has ended and the refinery has gone back to normal operations. A level 1 community warning was sent out at 1420 hours due to the visibility of the flaring event. No additional flaring events are expected to occur.
