DESCRIPTION: Per the reporting party: A Amtrak passenger train (A714128A) struck an unknown vehicle that was parked on the track at mile post 904.4 in the Bakersfield Subdivision. 42 passengers will remain on the train. One (1) Amtrak crew member was injured and requested medical attention. No derailment, impacted waterways or Hazmat release reported. This incident occurred on a mainline and all traffic is currently on hold.
