DESCRIPTION: Per the reporting party, at the Clean Energy refueling station, at approximately 1641 hours, The Oakland Fire Department was notified of a natural gas leak from an unknown source and unknown cause. The Fire Department was notified because of the sound and smell of a gas leak. It is currently ongoing. It is not stopped. They suspect that the release is coming from and underground source. It is unknown if it is from a tank or a pipe line. There is no vapor visible. There is no fire or explosion. They have evacuated the area for two blocks in all directions. The area is not safe and is being cordoned off. There are road closures at 3rd Street to Embarcadero West and from Market Street to Brush Street. Approximately 50 people were evacuated. Pacific Gas & Electric (PG&E) is on scene.
