g. DESCRIPTION: Per the reporting party, Clean Harbors was pushing waste in their landfill when a dozer blade struck a battery causing a reaction. The operator of the dozer was unsure if it was dust or smoke. They covered the battery with clean soil, and it seemed to have stopped the reaction.

Per NRC report: “Caller is reporting that at a land fill the dozer was pushing waste and there was a battery that started having a reaction and started smoking. Caller states the type of battery is unknown.”
