| g. DESCRIPTION: | Per reporting party, while performing track work on heater car RHC 2001, it was noted that two blocks were placed in front, with one improperly pinned down. While driving on the track, the improperly placed block hit the crossing pad, causing the heater car to abruptly come to a stop and derail. This incident resulted in an employee being thrown forward and sustaining an elbow injury. The heater car has been re-railed, and the main line is now open for normal traffic. No waterways were impacted, no fires, no hazmat release were reported. Per NRC Report # 1405242 "The caller states (1) rail car used for track maintenance derailed on the main line. The car derailed upright, no release of materials. The incident did occur on a passenger service line, however no delays. ---INCIDENT DETAILS---Passenger Train Route: YES.
