g. DESCRIPTION: Per the Reporting Party : A propane tank on a bobtail truck released propane onto an asphalt roadway while operating and experiencing vibrations. The release is believed to have been caused by Riverside County Weights and Measures improperly reassembling the connections after they had conducted an inspection of the tank. The material released in both a liquid and vapor form. The material impacted asphalt on a roadway. The release has been stopped. Cal Fire responded to the scene. The vapor dissipated into the atmosphere and is unrecoverable. The liquid part of the material formed ice, then melted off, turned back into gas and went into the atmosphere. Mountain View Drive near Highway 243 was temporarily shut down. No waterways were affected; there were no injuries associated with the incident. Cal Fire temporarily evacuated approximated 10 people from 3 or 4 houses in the area. The evacuations have been lifted. The Riverside Sheriff Department also responded to the scene.
