g. DESCRIPTION: A chlorine release occurred in an evaporator room earlier today at the listed water treatment plant. The incident occurred during a scheduled test and was detected by a gas alarm. The facility's scrubber system activated and neutralized the release. Technicians located the source of the release and identified it as a vacuum regulating valve. The system was shut down and the release was stopped. No personnel exposures were reported and no evacuations were necessary. Permanent repairs have been completed and the facility has remained in operation.
