Orignal Description:Due to an unknown mechanical failure on the Chlorinator, a minimal amount of Chlorine Gas released in to the building where in dissipated naturally. The Chlorinator has been isolated, stopping the release. The cause of the release is still under investigation. A gasket was replaced and the Chlorinator is back in service. No waterways impacted.

SITUATION UPDATE:
RP states release was due to a leak in the vent line of the chlorinator, less then 1 lb was released (cumulative for today and yesterday), material vented into the atmosphere becoming unrecoverable, the release is stopped, City of Sacramento well operators completed repairs, identified the issue, and replaced the faulty equipment.
