g. DESCRIPTION: A passenger vehicle left the roadway at the listed location and came to a stop in a marsh. The local police and fire departments responded to the scene. On arrival, city personnel observed the vehicle submerged in approximately six feet of water. One occupant was removed from the vehicle and transported to a medical facility with severe injuries. No sheen was observed in the marsh. A tow truck will be removing the vehicle from the waterway shortly. The temporary road closure of the southbound Pacific Coast Highway is expected to be lifted no later than 1:00 AM on today's date.
