Orignal Description:Per reporting party: Yesterday (October 28,2024) at the construction site, they had a manhole that was backed up with dirt and caused a release of 29,250 gallons of sewage. Most of the release stayed on the site but today at about 0800 hours 5,250 gallons of the sewage has gone into the storm drain. This is ongoing and leaking at 25 gallons per minute.
Update(s): 10/29/2024 11:57:38 AM - Per NRC report: The caller is reporting a release of sewage onto the land, storm drain and into san diego creek from sewage manhole on a construction site. The cause of release was due to dirt from the construction site clogging the manhole creating an overflow of sewage.
Remedial ACtion: Vac truck used, clean up crew on-site, contractor has been hired release Secured: no Release rate: 25 gallon(s) per minute Estimated release duration: 1 minute
