g. DESCRIPTION: | Per the reporting party, on 10/17/2024 at approximately 1700 in the afternoon, a mixture of dye and an unidentified water treatment chemical used for the chiller system to cool the Tesla Artificial Intelligence Supercomputer was released into a storm drain at the listed location. The Palo Alto Fire Department recovered approximately 550 gallons of the mixture from the storm drain. The incident occurred while Tesla personnel were draining the system. The release of the mixture impacted the storm drain, the gutter and Matadero Creek. It is unknown how much of the mixture was released. It is unknown how much of the material impacted the creek. Tesla has contracted with Clean Harbors to clean-up the release. Clean Harbors is currently cleaning the spill. | ||
