| g. DESCRIPTION: | Early this morning, an employee of the listed company was on-site at the OC405 Project in Huntington Beach, CA (16 -mile widening project of the Interstate 405). Upon finishing his shift, the employee placed compaction control samples and a Troxler Model 3440 in the bed of his truck. According to the employee, the gauge was locked in its case and the case secured to the truck with a chain. At the time of his departure from the site the chain was not locked to the truck and the tailgate was in a lowered position. The employee then drove for approximately 10 minutes to his office. During travel the locked case with the gauge fell from the bed of the truck. At the time of this report, the employee along with several inspectors, retraced the route searching for the case without success. Office staff are utilizing social media to obtain assistance from the public in locating the device. In addition, a police report will be made with the California Highway Patrol. |
