g. DESCRIPTION: During efforts to align sections of a pipe aboard the mentioned vessel, a control valve was mistakenly left open, resulting in a minor release of fuel into a waterway. On-site personnel intervened by shutting off the valve, stopping the release. There were no fires or injuries as a result of this incident. Plans for a cleanup operation are currently underway.
