g. DESCRIPTION: | A significant flaring event is in progress due to an upset at a processing unit. The release may have exceeded the reportable quantity of sulfur dioxide and nitrous oxide. No evacuations at the facility were necessary and the refinery has continued to operate. On-site technicians are attempting to restart the unit which will stop the flaring. The facility issued a Community Warning Level 1 Notification. In addition, local agencies were contacted by phone and briefed. Downwind monitoring is being performed by the Chevron Fire Department.
